Whipsocket LLC ("Whipsocket," "we," "us," or "our") is a South Carolina limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit whipsocket.com or use our services, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you use our Project Estimator, contact form, or reach out to us by email, you may provide:

• Your name and email address
• A description of your project or business needs
• Whether you are requesting a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) — see Section 5

We do not maintain a persistent marketing database. Information submitted via forms is received as a notification (via Slack) and, where applicable, as an email confirmation (via Maileroo). We do not store your form submissions in a third-party CRM or database beyond active client engagement records.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 may collect:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Referring website or search terms
• Browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (country/region)
• IP address (anonymized by default in GA4)

This data is aggregated and is not linked to your name or email address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your project inquiry or estimate submission
• Deliver services you have engaged us to perform
• Communicate about your active project, including proposals, invoices, and deliverables
• Understand how visitors interact with our website and improve its content

We do not send marketing or promotional emails unless you have explicitly requested them. Every communication from us will be directly related to your inquiry or project.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics 4 — website usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
• Slack — internal notifications when you submit a form. Your name and email are received by us via Slack but are not shared further.
• Maileroo — transactional email delivery for project-related communications.
• Cal.com — scheduling software for discovery calls. Cal.com's privacy policy governs information you submit when booking a call.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on our forms. Turnstile processes interaction signals but does not identify individual users.

4. Data Retention

We do not retain your personal information beyond what is necessary to fulfill an active engagement or respond to an inquiry. Google Analytics 4 data is retained according to Google's default data retention settings. If you are an active or former client, we retain business records (contracts, invoices, communications) as required by applicable law and sound business practice.

5. Confidentiality and NDA

Our Project Estimator includes an optional NDA request. If you select that option, your project details are treated as confidential from the moment we receive your submission. A formal Non-Disclosure Agreement will be provided before any scoping work begins. Confidentiality obligations applicable to client engagements are set out in our Terms of Service and in any engagement agreement we execute with you.

6. Cookies

Our site uses cookies placed by Google Analytics 4 to track usage data. No first-party authentication or tracking cookies are set. You can disable GA4 cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-On without affecting your ability to use the site.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

You may request that we delete any personal information you have submitted to us. To do so, email us at hello@whipsocket.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 10 business days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the date of the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our site or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
